Nobody knows for sure exactly what dinosaurs looked like, so you can shade yours any way you'd like! You can use stripes, patches or even spots! Certain dinosaurs may have even had feathers. You can add more value throughout your brachiosaurus drawing for more detail. Don't worry too much about adding the value smoothly. Vary the pressure on your pencil to get different degrees of tonal value. Pick the direction of the light source when shading so that the shadows are consistent with it. Re-draw any final sketch lines that you may have accidentally erased.įinal Step (optional): Add some shading to your brachiosaurus drawing to give it more dimension and volume. ![]() Don't worry about erasing all of the guides.
